Parul Mehra

Protection Officer

Parul Mehra is a Protection Officer at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Headquarters where her work focuses on providing technical assistance to advance rights‑based approaches within migration governance and to support states and institutions in implementing international protection standards for at-risk groups, particularly children on the move. With a decade of experience across the East and Horn of Africa, North Africa and South Asia, Ms Mehra has worked on addressing risks of exploitation, trafficking, and child labour, enhancing labour migration governance frameworks to better protect migrant workers and their families, and strengthening child safeguarding systems.

An international human rights lawyer by training, Parul holds an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from Harvard Law School which she attended as a Fulbright‑Nehru Scholar.
