Omar Zniber

Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations in Geneva

Ambassador Omar Zniber has been Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva since April 2018 and was elected President of the Human Rights Council for 2024. He previously served as Ambassador to Germany, Austria (with accreditation to Slovakia and Slovenia), and Permanent Representative in Vienna. Mr. Zniber held senior positions at Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and chaired numerous intergovernmental conferences. He holds a master’s in public law from Mohamed V University and a doctorate in public international law from Paris II Panthéon Assas University
