Miriam Roquel Chávez is the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of Guatemala, a position she has held since January 2024. She is a lawyer with a master’s degree in human rights and has extensive experience in public service. Prior to her appointment as Minister, she served as Deputy Attorney at the Human Rights Prosecutor’s Office.
