Martin N’Guettia
Director in charge of Child Labour Elimination
Dr. Martin N’Guettia Kouakou Kra is an Ivorian social worker, specialised educator, and criminologist, born on 26 December 1974 in Bondoukou, Côte d’Ivoire. He holds a doctorate in criminology with a specialisation in psychocriminology and is a Maître‑Assistant and researcher at the UFR of Criminology at Université Félix Houphouët‑Boigny in Abidjan. His academic and professional work focuses on child protection, social vulnerability, and the prevention of exploitation, combining applied research with public policy engagement.
Since 2012, Dr. N’Guettia has served as Director of the Fight against Child Labour at the Ministry of Employment, Social Protection and Vocational Training of Côte d’Ivoire. He is also Executive Secretary of the Inter‑Ministerial Committee against Trafficking, Exploitation and Child Labour, and Coordinator of the national System for Observation and Monitoring of Child Labour (SOSTECI). Since May 2022, he has been the national focal point for Alliance 8.7, contributing to Côte d’Ivoire’s efforts to eradicate child labour and related human rights violations at both national and international levels.
