Ms Marianne Lane is Senior Protection Specialist for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Headquarters, specialising in international migration, with particular focus on counter-trafficking in persons, protection of migrants in vulnerable situations, migrants’ rights, child rights and child protection. Ms Lane is a graduate of the University of Geneva Centre for Children’s Rights Studies (MAS Children’s Rights), as well as the University of London (SOAS – MSc International Politics). Ms Lane has more than 25 years’ experience in humanitarian and development work, including close to 20 years with IOM, with assignments in various regional and country offices, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa, but also in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and European regions.
