Laura Bill
UNICEF Representative in the Kingdom of Morocco
Laura Bill has been the UNICEF Representative in the Kingdom of Morocco since April 1, 2025. Of Swiss and Venezuelan nationality, Ms. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in Sinology from Geneva University in Switzerland and a master’s degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid from Deusto University in Spain.
Ms. Bill has over 20 years of experience in international development and humanitarian cooperation with various organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the World Food Programme (WFP) in conflict areas and major humanitarian crises. She began her career at UNICEF in 2006 in Sri Lanka, before becoming a regional emergency specialist from 2007 to 2013 in UNICEF Regional Offices for East Asia and the Pacific based in Thailand and for South Asia based in Nepal.
From 2013 to 2021, Ms. Bill served as UNICEF Deputy Representative in Mauritania, then in Ukraine until 2021. Since 2021, and prior to her appointment as UNICEF Representative to the Kingdom of Morocco, Ms. Bill served as Deputy Special Representative for UNICEF in the State of Palestine.
