Jacqueline Aguilar

Youth Advocate

Jacqueline Aguilar is a first-generation college graduate, child labor survivor, and community advocate from Center, Colorado. Raised in a migrant farmworker family, she began working in agricultural fields at the age of eleven to help support her household. Her early experiences with child labor, combined with witnessing her father’s lung cancer due to field exposure and her mother’s disability after years of agricultural work, have shaped her lifelong commitment to justice for migrant and working-class families.

She earned a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work and a minor in Spanish from Adams State University, where she was actively involved in the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). Jacqueline currently serves as an Outreach Case Coordinator for La Puente Street Outreach, providing direct advocacy and coordinated case management for individuals experiencing homelessness, many of whom have experienced labor exploitation and childhood trauma.

Jacqueline is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work to become a Medical Social Worker, continuing her advocacy for individuals and families impacted by child labor, poverty, and systemic barriers to care.
