During his career, Gabriel Nizigama has held several senior positions in public administration. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Director General of Administration and Management at the Ministry of Public Security, before being appointed Minister of Public Security from 2011 to 2015. He then served as Civil Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic from 2015 to 2022, then as Advisor to the Minister of Home Affairs, Community Development and Public Security between 2023 and 2025. Since 2025, he has held the position of Minister of Labour, Civil Service and Social Security.
