Franz Christian Ebert is a Research Officer at the International Labour Organisation in Geneva. His research at the ILO focuses on the interplay between trade law, supply chain governance and labour standards. Previously, he spent several years as a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law and served as a Visiting Professional at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. He has also held visiting research positions at Columbia Law School and at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the International Labour Review, the World Trade Review, and the Human Rights Law Review.
