Eugénie Valentin 

Project Officer

Eugénie Valentin is a Project Officer at the International Labour Organization (ILO), based in Madagascar within the FUNDAMENTALS Branch.
Her work focuses on the elimination of child labour and forced labour in global supply chains, with a particular emphasis on extractive sectors.

She supervises child labour elimination policy work in Madagascar, including the development of the National Action Plan on Child Labour, and coordinates Child Labour Platform activities in Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She works closely with governments, multinational enterprises, employers’ and workers’ organizations to strengthen standards-based approaches and public–private cooperation aimed at addressing child labour risks in supply chains.

Her work bridges international labour standards, policy frameworks and field-level implementation, with a focus on strengthening due diligence approaches that address the root causes of child labour.
