This side event will showcase Ghana’s integrated and multistakeholder partnership-driven approaches to addressing the root causes of child labour, drawing on experiences from three transformative initiaties to end child labour in Ghana: the Child Labour Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Child Labour Free Zones, and the ACCEL Africa programme. The session will highlight how government leadership, coordinated UN and development partner support, and responsible private sector engagement can strengthen national systems for prevention, identification, referral, remediation and reintegration of children affected by child labour, promoting responsible and sustainable business practices and scaling transformative approaches, including through multi-stakeholder financing initiative. It will serve as a platform for cross-country learning and knowledge exchange, sharing practical lessons and adaptable models that can inform action in other contexts.
