Alejandro Avilés Gómez is a labor lawyer and union advisor. He was born in Mexico City and is 54 years old. For over 31 years, he has been actively involved in the labor movement, a journey that began as a unionized worker and has been consolidated through the collective defense of labor rights.

He currently serves as legal counsel and advisor to his national union, participating in national and international forums for social dialogue. His work has included involvement in various activities related to the eradication of child labor, as well as the promotion of labor rights and decent working conditions as the foundation of social justice.

He has been part of the Mexican workers’ delegation to the International Labour Conference and to world conferences related to the eradication of child labor.
