Marlene Mazariegos

Sustainability Manager

Marlene Mazariegos is a Guatemalan lawyer and notary with a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from Universidad Francisco Marroquín. She holds a Master’s in Corporate Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a postgraduate diploma in Business and Human Rights from Universidad del Istmo de Guatemala. She currently serves as Sustainability Manager at Cámara del Agro de Guatemala (the Chamber of Agriculture of Guatemala), where she leads initiatives at the intersection of labor rights, corporate responsibility, and sustainable development. Marlene coordinates the Red Empresarial para la prevenición y erradicación del Trabajo Infantil “Los Niños y las Niñas a la Escuela” (Business Network for the Prevention and Elimination of Child Labor, “Boys and Girls to School”) and is a member of the Administrative Commission of GAN Guatemala.
She represents the organized private sector of Guatemala in the National table for the Prevention of Child Labor, and serves as the regional focal point for employers in the Iniciativa Regional América Latina y el Caribe Libre de Trabajo Infantil (Latin America and Caribbean Free of Child Labor Regional Initiative). Additionally, she is an active member of the Labor Commission of CACIF (the employers national organization) and frequently represents the Chamber of Agriculture in national and international forums on labor and sustainability platforms
