Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Obaidli

Director General of the Executive Bureau of the Council of Ministers of Labour and Social Affairs in the GCC States. Holding a Bachelor of Law degree, his professional career began in 1993 with the Qatari Armed Forces. He has held various leadership roles, including Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs (August 2018 – August 2023) and Director of the Minister of Justice’s Office (2015-2017). Key achievements include leading ILO negotiations, resulting in the approved Technical Cooperation Programme and closure of an international complaint (2017-2020 implementation). He contributed to major labour legislation reviews (e.g., Labour Law and Minimum Wage Law amendments), helped sign 37 expatriate worker agreements, and was recognized as a human trafficking hero in the 2021 US State Department report.
