Peregrina Baylón Flores is Peruvian, a mother and a leader from the artisanal mining community of Santa Filomena (Ayacucho, Peru). She currently serves as Director of Logistics at WAYBus, a transportation company linked to the Society of Miners of Santa Filomena.
She began her economic trajectory selling sweets and food as a family livelihood strategy, and over time developed skills as a woman micro-entrepreneur and community leader. She was part of the PANIEM programme (Programme for New Economic Initiatives for Women), made up of 36 women from Santa Filomena, which promoted women’s entrepreneurship through a revolving capital fund to strengthen family economic resilience.
