Mr. Pablo Chacón holds a degree in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH) and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Arts and Social Sciences (ARCIS). He has built a professional career focused on labour and social security policy. He served as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MINTRAB) between 2022 and 2024, and previously at the Undersecretariat of Social Security (SUBPREV) from 2016 to 2018. In 2024, he was named Labour Attaché at the Permanent Mission of Chile to the United Nations in Geneva (MISGIN), Switzerland. Earlier in his career, he worked as a labour and legislative advisor for the Municipality of Santiago and the National Congress of Chile, and coordinated CLACSO’s Working Group on Global Environmental Change, Social Movements and Public Policy.
