Seidel is a former UNICEF Deputy Representative, Child Rights Education Manager, and Communication Specialist. She has served as a spokesperson for the UN and OSCE in the post-war Balkans and as a journalist for Deutsche Welle TV. Her WCC initiative on intergenerational climate justice won the 2019 Keeling Curve Prize. Holding a master’s in Sociology from the Sorbonne and Freie Universität Berlin, she co-authored The Lancet research on climate change and violence against children
