Secretary General

Ms. Wafa ASRI, Secretary General of the Vocational Training Department at the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, has over 30 years’ experience in the fields of vocational training, employment and human capital development, with recognized expertise in the design, management and evaluation of public policies at national level and in international cooperation contexts.

Her career has been marked by a significant contribution to the promotion of productive employment and decent work,improved employability and greater coherence between training systems and the needs of the labor market, with a view to achieving inclusive and sustainable growth.

It has supported reform processes aimed at aligning national policies with international labor standards, in particular those relating to fundamental rights, social dialogue and equal opportunities in access to employment.

She has a solid command oftraining engineering, as well as the mechanisms for steering, monitoring and evaluating public policies and programs. Her expertise also covers institutional structuring, contractualization and the development of strategic partnerships, particularly within multi-actor frameworks involving public authorities, social partners, the private sector and international organizations.

Trained as an engineer with a master’s degree in training and employment systems engineering, she has held several positions of responsibility over the course of her career, contributing to the definition of national strategies, the translation of strategic orientations into operational measures and the accompaniment of reforms in demanding institutional and multi-stakeholder environments.
