The Innovation Fair aims to showcase creative, impactful, and scalable solutions that contribute to the elimination of child labour, foster peer learning, and inspire replication and partnerships. It will highlight innovative, creative and evidence-based approaches that have shown measurable impact in addressing child labour and that have the potential to be scaled and adapted to different contexts.  

Designed as a space for direct and active engagement, the Innovation Fair will also offer hands-on experiences with artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Participants will be able to interact with an AI-powered avatar answering questions on the Global Estimates on Child Labour and a virtual reality visit to a cocoa farm in Nigeria, to deepen understanding of the realities of child labour on the ground and inspire action.

 

Practical and digital innovations for addressing child labour in humanitarian action (APCHA)

Showcase practical and digital innovations for addressing child labour in humanitarian action. This will include the Child Labour Toolkit, the CAAFAG Programme Design Toolkit, and selected examples of technology-enabled programme models. The stand would offer an accessible space for government officials and partners to explore tools, ask technical questions, and learn about adaptable approaches that bridge humanitarian and development systems.

 

Child Labour Observatory (ILO)

The Child Labour Observatory (CLO) is a centralized hub for information on child labour in the 187 Member States of the ILO.  worldwide. Established by the ILO, as called for in the Durban Call to Action on the Elimination of Child Labour, the CLO is a “one-stop shop” for data, legislation, policies and evidence of progress in the elimination of child labour.  The CLO supports policymakers, researchers, governments, social partners, the business community, civil society, development partners, international organizations and other stakeholders to understand the latest trends and policy developments in tackling child labour.
